I'm a muso and would like nothing more. It's the schedule that will be hard. We can start working on it later in the week. The provided words are a bit vague on a few things but I'll figure it out.

Haha--thanks for the message, Peggy! If your daughter is a junior in high school, it is definitely not too late! There are so many great options out there--and keep in mind that unless she is going the Ivy route, she doesn't even have to take the SAT. The main thing is to not get stuck on that idea that scores are priority--they're just not, and there are SO many other more important ways for her to spend her time learning more about herself and what interests her. Is she interested in going abroad? The sooner the better--no joking. Three of my girls went abroad for their junior year of high school--and the book has a whole chapter about how this experience hardwires the adolescent brain for future language learning and flexibility--and shoots them far ahead of their peers. She could go her senior year or as a gap year and there are great programs (like our girls used) that cost about $3,000 total for the entire YEAR. (Some get scholarships and pay nothing!) You can learn more about changing the mindset and avoiding angst by signing up for the free email series at http://www.NewGlobalStudent.com ;-) It's SO much better doing things differently! Cheers.... Maya

Thanks, Peggy! I'm delighted to be here. Though I live in Argentina, my focus is on helping US students prepare for their most exhilarating opportunities in the 21st century global economy. Cheers to you and Global Lean!
Maya ;-)
